Mighty Bond: A two part system that mechanically bonds new plaster to existing plaster PERMENANTLY!!
PACKAGING: kit includes one five gallon pail of liquid and two 65lb bags of mighty bond dry mix..job site ready.
SUBSTRATE: remove all loose plaster. Check entire surface for hollow spots, mold, mildew, algae, rust, fungus, deterioration of any kind and clean by sand or water blast, acid wash, neutralize with soda ash if necessary. Wash surface and let dry until no standing water is present. Cracks and imperfections must be repaired and cleaned away.
MIXING: keep all materials dry. Do not add water to the mix. the slump may be adjusted to the applicator’s preference or to suit the specific job conditions by increasing the amount of either of the two components in the mixture. Start with mighty bond liquid in a bucket and then add the dry component. Mix the two components using a drill and paddle or other mechanical means, let stand for four to six minutes and re-temper; this will extend the pot life. the initial set time at 68 f (20 c) is about 15 minutes. Warmer temperatures or storage conditions of the product can reduce this time while cooler ones will lengthen it. The minimum temperature required is 32 f (0c) and remember mighty bond adheres to virtually any surface, so when cleaning up, use water immediately after the application and before the material sets.
APPLICATIONS: for maximum bond coat, add an extra bag of mighty bond dry mix to the kit then trowel and notch for scratch coat. To roll-on 1-5gal pail and 2-65lb bags, mix to pancake batter consistency then roll on with 1 inch heavy matt roller.
COVERAGE: mighty bond kits will cover 410 sq ft-rolled and 710 sq ft-sprayed. Coverage will vary based on substrate condition. Use for pool building, concrete restoration, deck building and more. Mighty bond consistency is suitable for all applications where superior bonding is desired.
STORAGE: store material in a clean dry area away from direct heat. Set time of the mixed material will be greatly accelerated if the components are stored in warm or hot environments, and conversely, the setting time is extended if the material is kept cool. Flush all spills with water and clean all tools with water immediately after each use.
SAFETY: refer to msds at www.flexcrete.ca use the same precautions as when working with conventional concrete. Although the materials are non-toxic, it is a good practice to protect exposed skin areas and to wear a face mask to prevent inhalation of aggregate particles. Mighty bond is not flammable.
